EFF INTERIOR REFURBISHMENT FUNDRAISING

Since taking delivery of EFF in 1977 we are aware of only one interior partial tidy up, in 2006 – the exterior and airframe are in excellent condition and have a long life ahead.
As a Club, we are sure those members that fly EFF are well aware that the interior is overdue for a complete refurbishment and in preparation have received a quote from Generation Global in Nelson for just less than $22,000 (plus gst).
We are now officially starting to raise funds* for this task/upgrade, namely:
- Generation Global have given us a 5% Discount
- The Hugo Trust has donated $2,000
- A member has also donated $2,000
* The Club is not in a position to fund this out of our normal operating budget as any money put aside is for engine overhauls and some level of contingency.
Also, the Committee sees this project as not affecting our hourly rates because the project will only proceed through fundraising and donations.
We are now actively seeking donations, no matter how small or large, from interested parties (including our Membership). And, any ideas you may want to share in helping the Club achieve this goal will be greatly appreciated.
Our aim is to ensure an upgrade that is most cost effective, adds value to one of our main Club assets and is an aircraft that our Members are proud to share with friends and family.
